The Nanoparticles Conference functions as an interdisciplinary forum focusing on all aspects of nanoparticles — from different types of sources to transformative changes in ambient air, followed by their global distribution. The event will explore technical mitigation, regulatory standards, and the effects of nanoparticles on health, the environment, and climate.
The NPC-2027 will mark our 30th conference, what we would like to celebrate with you! It contains the following:

  • Welcome and networking reception in the evening of day 1
  • 3 days of high-quality and cutting-edge presentations (oral and poster) (day 2-4)
  • Intensive discussions among the participants
  • Exhibitor apéro on day 2
  • Conference dinner (separate registration) on day 3

Important Dates and Deadlines

  • 30.11.2026: Registration opens
  • 15.01.2027: Deadline for abstract submission (oral & poster) and exhibition applications
  • 2nd half of Feb: Notification of acceptance
  • 18.04.2027: Deadline for late abstract submission (for poster presentations only)
  • 26.04.2027: Notification of acceptance for late submissions
  • 06.06.2027: Deadline for registrations


Papers and Posters

We invite you to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations on the conference website, www.npc27.scg.ch.

  • Abstracts must contain new results related to the aforementioned topics.
  • Best poster presentations and talks will be awarded with prize money and certificates.
  • All contributions, including pdf files of talks, posters and abstracts, will be published on www.nanoparticles.ch. Submission of an abstract includes agreement for publication on the conference website.

Registration and Conference Fee

Online registration is required under www.npc27.scg.ch.

  • A conference fee of CHF 400 will be charged for the whole conference, the fee for one day is CHF 150. Reduced fees of CHF 200 and CHF 100, respectively, are offered to students and retirees.
  • The conference fee also applies to presenters and can be paid after paper acceptance.
  • The conference fee includes welcome reception, 6 coffee breaks, 3 lunch breaks, and the exhibition apéro.
  • Offsite conference dinner costs extra and needs a separate registration.


Social Events

  • The welcome reception on Monday Evening, June 21, is in the ETH Alumni (GEP) Pavillon of the ETH main building.
  • The exhibitor apéro on Tuesday, June 22 in the exhibitor area of the conference at the ETH main building is a good occasion for networking.
  • All participants are welcome to register for the conference dinner on Wednesday evening (offsite conference dinner with an extra charge, more information will follow).
